Second Harvest picks up excess food that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it to approximately 250 social service programs in the GTA.  Recently Second Harvest held its annual Lunch Money Day campaign and pmlaw joined in but added a twist on the idea.

At the third of a series of lunches on July 26, 2010, pulled pork sandwiches, shrimp pasta salad, tomato feta salad, potato salad and peach pie that was prepared by staff was the day’s menu.  It was an opportunity for everyone to socialize and enjoy a delicious meal.  A total of $394.00 in donations has been raised to date.
