About
Alastair Paterson was a partner in the leading aviation law firm of Beaumont and Sons in London, England. In 1953, he journeyed to Canada with his wife and daughter to begin a new life. Others joined Alastair in the practice of law and together they formed an exciting new firm. In 1977 the firm became known as Paterson, MacDougall or, PM Law.
Though the firm had its origins in the aviation and insurance markets of London, it expanded into other specialized areas of practice such as municipal liability, reinsurance, financial services, professional liability, product liability, cargo transportation and logistics, media, defamation and privacy, and wills and estates. The focus of the firm has continued to be on the development of excellence, experience and expertise in law and the delivery of effective specialized legal services to our clients.
